What is BPO?
BPO stands for Business Process Outsourcing. In layman’s terms BPO is when a company outsources processes, such as basic administrative or financial duties, to a third party. Companies that offer BPO services are typically administrative, sales or call centre operations.

Companies choose to outsource as BPO has many advantages and can reduce cost and save time. When a company chooses BPO, they may be able to operate with a smaller number of staff or free up time that enables the business to focus on growth and expansion.

To work for a BPO company you will need good diction, communication skills, a willingness to learn and a passion for fast paced environments. A good degree also helps as it shows you that you are dedicated, motivated and could be a long-term asset.
While a role in this industry can be demanding, it can also be rewarding with many opportunities to progress. If you display leadership qualities, work well under pressure, are able to make decisions and perform well, you can quickly climb the career ladder.
