Here are three fields of study that will allow you to find employment and get into multiple industries.


While many people primarily think of mathematics when they consider statistics, there are many more industries that statistics can be used in that may interest people who don’t necessarily want to go into math. Understanding data-processing applications is imperative to work in any of these fields, and a business analytics degree will properly prepare you for that. If you think that you would like to start your career out on a certain career path and have the flexibility to change it within the next three to five years, the skills you learn by having a business analytics degree will allow you to do that. Most who hold this degree can expect an average salary of £52,500 per year with room for growth, depending on the type of industry they work in.


When people think of sociology, the first thing they often think about is a field of study that is mostly good for teaching. Many don’t know that sociology has so many options to it that you can create your own career path within this field of study. People who hold degrees in sociology can prepare and look for work as guidance counsellors, market researchers, non-profit leaders, political analysts, and public relations specialists. With persistence in finding the right career field for you, someone who holds a sociology degree can expect a salary range of £50,000 to  £75,000 a year.
